The Woods Company was formed to meet the demand for authentic materials needed for building restorations. Today, as the Green Building movement propels the reclaiming of wood into the mainstream, we’re proud to say we were there at the beginning.

The Woods Company is one of the very few full service reclaimed antique lumber mills. Our custom shop produces stair parts, mouldings, beams, floor vents, cabinet lumber — most anything your project might require.

Kiln drying is a must
Although reclaimed lumber is old and seasoned, it is not dry enough for interior use. We kiln dry all our wood to a uniform 6-9% prior to milling. Kiln drying conditions and stabilizes the wood, ensuring a superior floor for years to come. Many suppliers do not offer this critical process.    

Strict grading standards
Our grading specifications and inspection process guarantee the consistent quality of our flooring. As a result, we ship 100% usable material, saving you time and money on installation.

Precision millwork
All flooring boards are hand selected for the best face, laser-straightened, and milled with an offset tongue and groove for a thicker wear surface. All boards are end-trimmed free of defects to make your installation easier and faster. We also offer end-matching on all of our flooring products in widths up to 10".

Careful packaging protects your investment
All flooring is strapped into easy to handle bundles, neatly stacked and banded securely to a skid. This protects your order and simplifies unloading and jobsite handling.

Delivery is easy and inexpensive
Because of our large freight volume, we have lower delivery charges than most mills. We track all shipments to make sure your order arrives safely and on time.
