A Choice of Two Appearance Grades
Character Grade
A durable floor with casual, rustic appeal, character grade allows grain and color variation, tight or star-cracked knots, and other natural character marks.
Select Grade
Select is our highest grade, ideal for formal settings. It is made from the finest lumber and is virtually clear of knots. For a rich and elegant floor, choose select grade.

Red Oak
A popular choice for a versatile floor at an excellent price. A very hard wood with light reddish brown coloration and bold grain. Quarter-sawing reveals the distinctive tiger striping, or medullary rays.

Wormy Red Oak
Along with occasional knots and character markings, this wood has small wormholes scattered across its surface, giving it a look reminiscent of Antique Wormy Chestnut.

White Oak
Very hard, with a light golden brown color. A prized wood historically used for building frames, ship timbers, and of course flooring. Quarter-sawing reveals the distinctive tiger striping, or medullary rays.

Cherry
Elegant, medium hard, possessing a fine grained, warm reddish brown appearance that darkens considerably over time and with exposure to light.

Hickory
The hardest of eastern hardwoods, this wood ranges in color from cream to warm medium brown.

Walnut
Naturally rich, dark brown when finished with occasional light cream to golden highlights. A prized furniture and cabinet wood.

White Pine
A favorite New England softwood. A very stable wood with light reddish brown knots and a creamy white grain. Develops a warm honey brown patina over time.

Heart Pine
The traditional hard pine of colonial and early homes throughout the east. A very durable wood that exhibits warm country charm with approximately 50% amber colored heart content and random scattered knots.
