• All flooring ends are pre-squared, making installation fast and simple. End matching is available on a special order basis.

• The Woods Company manufactures unfinished, solid wood, plank flooring. Our products are made to be nailed down to a proper sub-floor, then sanded and finished in place. We can provide installation and finishing guidelines, however, for the best results, we recommend the use of a professional wood flooring technician.

• Our flooring is sold in random width, non-repeating sizes, typically 4 widths per size group. We ship each width in a size group as available stock allows. Every order comes with a complete width and quantity tally, and cannot be installed in a repeating pattern unless a suggested pattern is included on the tally.

• Our flooring is sold by the net square foot, uninstalled. Typical orders require 3-5% additional wood for cutting and installation loss.

• The widths stated in our catalog are "actual widths" (unless otherwise stated). For example: A 3"-6" random width flooring range will contain boards with actual face widths of 3", 4", 5", and 6".

• All flooring is made in random lengths from 18"-12'. Longer lengths are available on a special order basis.

• All flooring is properly kiln dried to a uniform 6-9% moisture content. Please note, however, that seasonal movement is to be expected, as wood is a product of nature and shrinks or swells in response to the ambient humidity. Some slight gaps will usually appear in any plank flooring during the winter months.

• Our standard flooring is 3/4" in thickness.
