Details & Specifications

We offer several species of Antique Barnwood Flooring, manufactured from 100% reclaimed boards, planks, and beams salvaged from old barns, houses, mills, and other aged rural buildings. This flooring possesses varying degrees of character marking, such as knots, nail holes, weather cracks, and occasional insect traces. Grain and color variation is also a distinguishing characteristic.

A Choice of Three Appearance Grades
Remilled Grade
Milled from old beams and planks, this grade features a lighter coloration and lots of character, generally with fewer nail holes and less color variation than our Distressed grade. Remilled flooring presents the wood in its natural beauty for a lighter, more refined appearance when installed.
Distressed Grade
Much of the original patina remains intact in this grade, milled from old boards and weathered planks. Darker coloration, knots, nail holes, and some original sawmill marks impart a sense of history. Distressed flooring provides an authentic country appearance with a beauty that only time can create.
Old Original Grade
For a very rustic floor, the original sawn surface is not milled, retaining all of the character of the authenic aged board. Our unique brush-burnishing process cleans and prepares the surface for finishing.
Our Primary Barnwood Species

Antique Oak
The king of the hardwood forest, this noble wood is a mix of red and white oak species. Its color ranges from light reddish-tan to medium brown with a distinctive variety of graining. Antique Oak makes a very hard and durable floor that is well suited to high traffic areas, and its casual appearance makes it a classic.

Antique Chestnut
Once a dominant forest species, chestnut is now extinct due to widespread blight at the turn of the 20th century. Light golden to chocolate brown in color, this uncommon wood is of medium hardness with a scattering of small worm holes. Rare and beautiful, Antique Chestnut flooring lends rustic elegance to any interior design.
